What are the responsibilities and job description for the Land Survey Crew Chief position at Benner & Associates, Inc.?
Job Duties:
- Supervise and run survey crew daily operations
- Ability to perform and prepare ALTA/NSPS, Boundary, Topographic and construction layout surveys
- Ability to interpret field information and the awareness to help prepare a survey of premises
- Knowledge of what physical feature location needs are required to help resolve boundary location
- Operating GPS and Total Stations to collect site information and help calculate boundary (we have incorporated Topcon Brand Instruments)
- Following instructions/work descriptions given by project managers
Qualifications:
- 4 years of land surveying experience
- Prior use of or knowledge of survey grade GPS equipment and Total stations
- Positive mental attitude
- Need to pay attention to detail and relay information to project managers
- Enjoy working outside in all the elements and terrain year round
- Ability to work well and communicate with clients, public and co-workers
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
- Valid Driver’s License
- Perform construction stake-out
