Bennett Creek Animal Hospital in Clarksburg, Maryland has an opening for an experienced full time veterinary technician. Applicants preferred having at least 1 year of consistent employment at a veterinary hospital, clinic, emergency hospital, or specialty practice.
Specific Shifts Needed:
Monday's 8 am-5 pm
Tuesday's 9 am-5 pm
Wednesday's 10a-6p
Friday's 1 pm-12 am
Saturday's 2 pm-12 am

Responsibilities include:
- Nursing care or emergency first aid to recovering or injured animals.
- IV catheter placement
- Verbal communication
- Technical understanding
- Takes vital signs and collects samples.
- Administers medications, drugs, and vaccines.
- Supports animal examinations by assembling required supplies and instruments.
- Explains animal status to owners.
- Prepares surgery table instruments.
- Completes local/regional anesthesia.
- Places catheters and obtains blood gases as needed.
- Maintains sterile conditions.
- Obtains and verifies medications.
- Cleans animal cages and equipment
- Assists during operations.
- Provide assistance during surgeries and dentistry procedures, including patient preparation, monitoring anesthesia, and surgical equipment sterilization.

Pay: From $22.58 per hour
Expected hours: 22 – 40 per week
