Job Summary:
Direct communication (voice/electronic) with customer(s) to assist with service/pricing requests; transport regulatory compliance (size and weight factors) questions; transport equipment selection; shipment tracking/tracing; and customer specific special service requirements.
Description of Essential Job Functions:
- Provided prompt, reliable, accurate and user friendly service response to customer requests. Insure that all communication is handled in a highly professional manner and have a complete understanding of the customers expectations.
- Ensure the accurate pricing of all "rate quotes" (contract, tariff and spot market) is accurate and consistent with established company policy and that applicable accessory charges including current applicable fuel surcharge have been correctly applied.
- Ensure the complete execution of customer requests are achieved by monitoring the transaction thru completion notifying manager immediately of any non compliance.
Qualifications
Skills & Experience:
- Excellent time management, organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Previous customer service experience
- Transportation experience is a plus
- Strong computer, typing and 10-key skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and/or in a team environment
