Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing cost estimates by reviewing plans, specifications, and bid documents.
- Analyze labor, material, and equipment costs.
- Collaborate with subcontractors to review quotes and ensure alignment with project requirements.
- Attend pre-bid and pre-construction meetings to gather project insights.
- Help prepare budgets, reports, and project proposals.
- Assist with bid invitations and follow-ups with subcontractors.
- Resolve cost discrepancies through data collection and analysis.
- Maintain and update subcontractor databases.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong mathematical skills, including proficiency in algebra and geometry.
- Ability to interpret construction plans and specifications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel); experience with takeoff software like PlanSwift is a plus.
- Enthusiasm for learning and a proactive attitude.
