Additionally, Bennett has been innovative over the last several years on alternative fueling options. Bennett’s recent growth has resulted in a need for Material Handlers to join our growing team.
This full-time hourly position performs material handling duties under the guidance of the Operations Manager. Duties to include movement of material, cycle counts and inventory accuracy, packaging, loading/unloading of trucks, and receiving product.
Responsibilities
- Ensures material is moved accurately based on locations and quantities by using ray gun.
- Ensures warehouse and locations are maintained at the 5S housekeeping level. Will use computer to track, move, look up and audit parts.
- Understands all types of inventory movement and associated transactions.
- Operates under the 5S housekeeping principles throughout inventory areas.
- Communicates with team leaders and lead persons in meeting their material need.
- Will handle parts with due care so as not to damage parts.
- Receives all incoming product. Will insure deliveries are handles in a timely manner and due to security procedures doorbell must be answered promptly and courteously.
- Operates a fork lift as needed. Advises supervisor of any mechanical problems with lift trucks. Daily inspections of fork lift at the beginning of the shift & completes checklist.
- Accurately cycle count assigned numbers/area.
- Display positive attitude at all times.
- Follows company polices and procedures.
- On occasion will work in other areas of the manufacturing facility, if needed and instructed.
- Need to work hours required including overtime.
Skills
- Education, Technical and Industry Experience: High school diploma or GED. Experience should include computer skills, fork truck operation and a clear understanding of the 5S housekeeping principles.
- Mathematical Skills:Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using who numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions. Ability to write and understand correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Physical Ability: Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, twist, and kneel; must be able to reach for, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls. Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds. If lifting more than 45 pounds, you must get assistance.
- Work Environment: Frequently works near moving mechanical parts, exposed to vibration.

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
