Job Summary:
We are seeking a Customer Service Representative to join our team. In this role, you will communicate with our customers, process orders received via telephone and/or email, write their orders up or by entering them into the computer. Edit orders received for completeness, including pricing, discounts, delivery, and quantity, nomenclatures, and all other pertinent data to identify their needs, process requests, escalate complaints, and provide helpful solutions that ensure they have a great customer service experience with our company. The ideal candidate is friendly, computer savvy, and can remain calm under pressure.
Responsibilities
- Handling inbound sales lead calls to convert calls into sales.
- Emphasize salable features, quotes prices and credit terms, and prepares sales orders for orders obtained.
- Use best practices in customer service techniques to develop rapport and build relationships with customers.
- When needed, assist in preparing sales invoices, orders, and shipping documents.
- Recommend type of packaging or labeling needed for orders. Places "spot" purchase orders for required products.
- Assist with light warehouse duties when needed for shipping.
- Develop into the role of placing purchase orders with our suppliers. Match supplier acknowledgements and customer's confirmation to AFS copy within 24 hours of receipt.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.15 - $16.19 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
