Reporting to our Senior Manager of Finance, the Financial Analyst is a key member of the Accounting and Finance team and will be responsible for various day-to-day accounting activities while also participating in projects that help drive the growth of the organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Extensive communication and collaboration across the Finance, Operations, Sales and IT functions.
- Develop and take part in presenting reporting materials and variance analysis of monthly results versus budget, forecast and prior years.
- Assist in preparing detailed budget, forecast submissions (monthly forecasting cycle), and presentations including consolidation of overall Marine results.
- Assist in compilation and analysis of monthly financial and operational reports, including detailed comparison of actuals to forecast and prior periods
- This role will assist in various internal control adherence/documentation, preparation of month-end journal entries and assisting the accounting department in various ad-hoc requests
- Identify and participate in company process improvement projects
- Work collaboratively within the team and across departments
- Assist with other miscellaneous tasks and handle special projects upon request including performing ad-hoc analysis (pricing, market analysis, production planning, etc.)
