What are the responsibilities and job description for the Long-Term Substitute- Social Studies Teacher position at Bensalem Township School District?
Bensalem Township School District is anticipating hiring a Long-Term Substitute Social Studies Teacher at the High School. This Long-Term Substitute assignment will begin immediatly and remain through the end of the 2024-2025 school year. The goal of this position is to lead students toward the fulfillment of their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical and psychological growth and maturation.
SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- PA Certificate in Social Studies
- Knowledge of content in certification area
- Classroom/group management skills
- Human relations skills
- Planning skills
- Ability to use instructional materials and equipment
- Knowledge of child growth and development
- Instructional skills
- Knowledge and valuing of the origins and nature of high levels if intelligence, including creative expressions of intelligence and how intelligence manifests itself in different domains and in diverse learners.
- Knowledge and understanding of the cognitive, social, and emotional characteristics, needs, and potential challenges experienced by gifted learners from diverse populations.
- Knowledge of enhanced and advanced content and instructional strategies.
