Description
Plan, organize, and conduct engaging pickleball lessons for participants of all skill levels and age groups.
Teach fundamental skills, techniques, rules, and strategies of pickleball in a safe and enjoyable manner.
DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Assist in creating programs, clinics, and tournaments to promote participation and skill development.
- Adapt lesson plans based on individual and group needs.
- Provide constructive feedback to help players improve their skills.
- Build rapport with participants to foster an inclusive and supportive environment.
- Ensure equipment and courts are safe and properly maintained before and after use.
- Keep accurate attendance records and report program statistics to rec. department.
- Promote pickleball programs and encourage continued participation.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications
- Previous experience teaching or playing pickleball at a competitive or recreational level.
- Coaching or teaching experience in sports or recreation settings preferred.
- Strong knowledge of pickleball techniques, rules, and strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with individuals of diverse skill levels and backgrounds.
- Ability to demonstrate pickleball techniques and participate actively during sessions.
JOB STATUS Part time DEPARTMENT Recreation FSLA STATUS Non-Exempt
SALARY $16.00 per hour
HOURS 1-5 hours per week including nights and weekends but varies based on program needs.
