Blackhawk Middle School is seeking a versatile Gifted teacher that has a working knowledge of grades 6-8 Next Generation Math standards. In addition, this teacher must be familiar with current pedagogy
and embrace a philosophy of continuous improvement through teamwork, collaboration, and shared leadership. Potential candidates must have the ability to design and implement rigorous curriculum inclusive
of a balanced assessment system, and possess excellent working knowledge of the characteristics and academic and social/emotional needs of gifted students. This teacher must also provide direct, specialized
literacy and numeracy instruction to gifted students.
