Is knowledgeable of consumer rights and ensures an atmosphere which allows for the privacy, dignity and well-being of all consumers in a safe, secure environment.
Responsible for a variety of duties that include but are not limited to:
Coordinating resident services including resident schedules, pre-admission interviews, assessments, staffing, and individual service plans.
Designing, implementing, and monitoring delivery of programs. Evaluating progress on programs and revising as necessary.
Coordinating consistent services with work, school, day programs, and families.
Providing direct supervision and initial and ongoing training of direct support staff.
Ensuring compliance with Benson House's policies and procedures, as related to duties.
Ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations and participate as a team member during licensing reviews/audits.
Ensuring resident rights and advocate accordingly.
Managing house budget and explain variances if necessary.
Conducting self in a professional manner in all forms of communication with consumers, staff, family, and outside agency contacts.
Ensuring adequate scheduling and staffing needs are met in accordance with the master schedule.
Evaluating staff performance, ensuring staff are provided the tools necessary to be successful.
Implementing governing Agency policies and procedures as related to assigned duties.
Coordinating and/or delegates scheduling of resident physician’s appointments.
Summary
As a Residential Administrator, you will oversee the daily operations of a residential care facility, ensuring compliance with residents' rights and delivering high-quality care. Reporting to the facility director, you will utilize your core skills in management and leadership to supervise staff and enhance long-term care services. Your premium expertise in assisted living and dementia care will be vital in developing care plans that meet the unique needs of residents. By fostering a supportive community, you will contribute to the well-being of individuals with developmental disabilities and seniors, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
Qualifications
- Proven management and leadership skills in residential or long-term care settings
- Experience supervising staff and operations in home and community care
- Knowledge of residents' rights and care plans, particularly for individuals with developmental disabilities
- Strong financial acumen and budgeting skills related to care facilities
- Background in adults with developmental disabilities a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
