The Delivery Driver ensures packages are delivered safely and on time. This role requires good communication, attention to detail, and a professional attitude.

- Deliver packages (1-50lb) to local customers.
- Follow safety practices on the road while loading/unloading.
- Communicate with the dispatcher and team.
- Maintain a professional image.
- Obtain customer signatures when needed.
- Understand drawings and blueprints.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and concerns promptly and courteously.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Inspect and maintain the vehicle.
- Load and unload packages.
- Keep delivery records.
- Report any issues or delays.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering packages on time and handling them with care.
- Take initiative in identifying and performing additional tasks that support team and organizational goals.
- Utilize “The Benson Way” fundamentals to foster a supportive culture including promoting effective communication, teamwork, kindness, commitment, ownership, results-driven work, consistency, and customer-centricity
POSITION QUALFICATIONS:
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Work Experience:
- Previous delivery or driving experience, required.
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS ABILITIES, COMPETENCIES:
- Must have a clean MVR.
- Forklift certification, is a plus.
- Attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Good time management.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work along and in a team.
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge.
- Ability to work overtime, when needed.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Capacity to sit in a vehicle for long periods.
- Excellent Customer Service Skills.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Work in a climate-controlled production setting.
- Drive and sit for long periods of time.
- Adapt to different weather conditions when loading/unloading.
