POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking a creative and motivated entry-level Graphic Artist. In this role, you will be responsible for producing visually appealing graphics and designs using preset templates. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to various projects that require a keen eye for detail and accuracy while maintaining brand standards and meeting service level expectations (SLEs).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are seeking a creative and motivated entry-level Graphic Artist. In this role, you will be responsible for producing visually appealing graphics and designs using preset templates. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to various projects that require a keen eye for detail and accuracy while maintaining brand standards and meeting service level expectations (SLEs).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Graphic Design and Layout:
- Create layout graphics, illustrations, and/or designs using preset templates and guidelines.
- Adapt and customize existing templates to suit the specific needs of various projects, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and adherence to brand standards.
Technical Proficiency:
- Understand manufacturing specs and possesses knowledge to produce art that meets specifications.
- May use a variety of mediums, including technical and computer programs, to achieve artistic or decorative effects.
- Has knowledge and experience in file layout and vector illustration.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Required – Associate’s degree in graphic design, print production or equivalent experience.
Work Experience:
- Required – 1-3 years’ experience in related field.
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, COMPETENCIES:
- Skilled in Adobe (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat on a Creative Cloud MAC platform.
- Capable of working with a MAC operating system.
- Basic understanding of design principles, and layout composition.
- Capable of creating layouts using preset templates and guidelines while adhering to existing brand standards.
- Familiar with proofing, pre-flighting and preparing files for print.
- Familiar with PANTONE color space in a file setup environment.
- Attention to detail and the ability to maintain company’s high quality control standards.
- Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks to meet standard level expectations (SLEs).
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A willingness to learn, adapt, and collaborate in a team-oriented environment.
- Demonstrate strong organization skills and ability to work efficiently.
- Use sighted abilities to review files for formatting, color, and messaging.
- Continuing education/certification may be required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Working at computer and sitting for long periods of time (sitting, talking, hearing).
