POSITION SUMMARY
Provide clean linens for the guest rooms and back up laundry driver as needed. Main position duties will be laundry attendant.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY and DUTIES for Attendant
- Make sure all whites are clean and property fold according to our laundry procedures
- Coordinate with the Supervisor about special request
- Ensure good grooming and good personal presentation
- Perform other duties as assigned by Laundry Manager and General Manager
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY and DUTIES for Driver
- Delivering clean linen and picking up soil linens from each property
- Truck loading and unloading
- Sort all linen by brand, wash and dry according to present machine formulas (ECOLAB)
- Move the linen to the proper processing area after it is cleaned
- Keep work area and vehicle sparkle
- Perform other duties as assigned by Laundry Supervisor or General Manager
QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous driving delivery experience necessary
- Safe driving record
- Preferred previous experience with laundry operations
- Organization skills and attention to detail
- Able to work with minimum supervision
- Able to read and speak English
Education: High School and/or comparable work experience.
Required Knowledge: Good understanding brand products and bedding collections. Capable to rotate all areas of laundry process (sort, wash, fold and press linen areas)
Work Environment: The duties for this position are conducted indoors. Employees will be exposed to contact with chemical compounds such as laundry detergents and other chemicals.
Physical Activities: To perform essential functions of this position, the individual must be available to see, speak, hear, and communicate effectively in English. An individual must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time with multi-task, stooping and reaching required. An individual should also be able to lift up to 50 pounds and may frequently lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds. Manual dexterity is necessary for folding preparation, linen displays, and paperwork, etc. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
