About Us: Bent Construction is a small but growing commercial general contractor in the Jacksonville, FL market. We are licensed in the state of Florida CGC1524472. Most of our projects are positioned between the surrounding five counties. Occasionally we will travel for a project, but our current workload is centered in the NE FL market.
The company was founded on the principle that we can provide market-leading preconstruction and construction management services to commercial projects of all sizes which may not normally receive such expertise. However, with the flexibility of a small business, we can adapt to our customers’ needs without the trappings of a large company and their policies. With our depth of experience in medical, historical restoration, and ground-up construction, we find a niche in mid-size commercial projects ($1M-$10M) where we can provide the most value.
Our current backlog includes several amenity centers for the national home builders, an 8,000 SF medical office building, 7,000 SF multi-purpose building for a church, 22,000 SF of design-build flex space, and several tenant build-outs. Our expected volume for 2025 is approximately $40M.
The team is currently comprised of 5 field superintendents and 7 office employees. The growth plan involves adding field supervision and project management teams at the ratio of 3 superintendents per project management team. The volume of work exists, and it is our goal to develop the team to go execute it.
We utilize Procore for project management and project financials, Phoenix Systems for scheduling (similar to Suretrack), and Microsoft 365 for collaboration and file storage. Superintendents use ipads or laptops for drawing coordination, daily logs, safety inspections, and scheduling.
Nearly all of our work is for repeat customers which highlights our dedication to the relationships we build – not only with the customers but also with our subcontractor trade partners.
