Pleasure Boat Marine Technician

We are looking for a reliable, self-assured pleasure boat marine service technician to perform maintenance and repairs on a variety of marine watercraft in both our Madisonville and Metairie locations.

Marine Service Technician Responsibilities:

• Must have at 1 year previous experience as a pleasure boat marine technician.
• Repairing, and maintaining all parts of the boat or vessel.
• Reading through repair and installation orders to determine the material, time, and equipment required.
• Diagnostics
• Making oil and other fluid changes.
• Repairing engine and electrical systems
• Ongoing training updates
• Post repair testing, documenting and communicating repairs to supervisor and customer

Marine Service Technician Requirements

• Prior knowledge of servicing Yamaha Outboards and Mercury Outboards
• Prior service experience on Robalo, Sea Hunt, South Bay, Tidewater, and Xpress boats
• Practical experience with tools and equipment used in marine maintenance.
• Ability to read and understand technical manuals.
• Gas and diesel engine experience helpful
• A willingness to learn and accept constructive feedback.

Salary: $20.00 - $30.00 per billable hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
