Aquatics Director (Summer – May to September)
The Aquatics Director oversees the operations of the aquatics department and programs, including staff supervision, swimming lessons, staff scheduling and planning. Coordinates and supervises the day-to-day operation of aquatic programs. Maintains records, schedules staff, and ensures proper pool maintenance. Provides swim instruction and life guarding as necessary. Provides leadership of the swim classes. Maintains compliance with all Department of Health safety standards and procedures.
Job Requirements:
- Manage all aspects of lifeguard and Aquatic staffing including hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, and providing effective leadership and supervision
- Develop and maintain Pool Facility calendar for all Aquatic activities
- Develop Aquatic Programs and oversee all aspects of programming to ensure quality and excellent member service
- Provide a safe atmosphere and environment for members / guests utilizing Aquatics facilities
- Develop and maintain system for daily chemical testing, periodic drop testing, regular staff training, and other safety and risk management processes and procedures to ensure compliance with all governing bodies
- Maintain effective communication with Management Team members to promote cross departmental cooperation and effective management of intra-departmental activities
- Provide instruction of the swimming lessons and programs
- Serve as primary contact for issues related to Aquatics staffing, programming, and facilities
- Ensure equipment, supplies, and Aquatic facilities are maintained in an orderly and safe manner
Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations: * Current Lifeguard certification; CPR and First Aid
- Water safety instruction and certified pool operator license certification
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
