General Responsibilities
Optimization of processes and plant support equipment
- Inspect products to verify conformance to specifications and direct setup and adjustments of machines necessary for conformance to specifications.
- Study production schedules and estimate worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment.
- Development of finishing capacity plans based on the forecast and identifies the opportunities for improvement.
- Establish or adjust work priorities to meet production schedules.
- Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of department or work crew.
Organization
- Implementation of a computerized management system (SAP) and identify compliance with MES system to maintain production levels.
- Setup of programs required to ensure facility cleanliness.
- Coordinate maintenance activities with mill operations.
- Realization of trainings and briefings to staff on planning new projects or changes in plant.
Management
- Conduct employee performance review to determine competency, knowledge, and contribution.
- Ensure continuous cross training of production employees to support highest performance requirements.
- Communicate with all team members (maintenance and production) to ensure good two-way communication on all issues.
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification required
- AA/AS or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2-3 years of experience in Finishing operations (desired).
- Minimum 5 years in a supervisory role in a pipe mill facility.
- Demonstrated capability of results through people, technology, and process.
- Basic SAP & general computer knowledge is required.
