Primary Responsibilites :
- Operate equipment in a Hot Rolling Mill for seamless pipe, like Bar / Layer Saws, Rotary Hearth / Reheat Furnace, Piercing Mill, Mandrel Mill, Stretch Reducing Mill.
- Monitor pulpit control panels, remote television monitors, computer terminals, HMIs, and making parameter adjustments as necessary to maintain production pace and produce a quality product.
- Lead in building stand lineups and changing out tooling for the specified product.
- Maintain safe and reliable rolling mill systems while improving production KPIs yield, performance, and availability.
- Follow safety policies and procedures for equipment operation.
- Perform routine inspection of condition of the equipment and report to the Supervisor or the Maintenance department any required part replacement or fix.
- Perform in-process quality inspections and / or tests, identifying defects, and ensuring that quality meets customer specifications.
- Recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and safety.
- Ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment, with strong work ethic, attention to detail, and troubleshoot to find root causes for issues.
- Keep work area organized and clean (housekeeping / 5S).
- Conduct / participate in LOTO such as verifying zero energy.
- Actively participate in safety trainings, safety meetings, and weekly toolbox talks.
- Demonstrate dependability in attendance, work completion, and flexibility to meet business needs.
