Job Summary:
The Project Engineer / Project Scheduler will play a crucial role with assisting in managing and scheduling of company projects. Working under the direction of the Project Manager, this position will require a well-rounded individual with hands-on experience in project management, scheduling, and cost control. The ideal candidate will be proficient in project management software (MS office suite, including Excel, Teams, Project, etc.) and have experience overseeing project budgets, supply chains, logistics, and the overall project lifecycle. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential to ensure the seamless execution of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Scheduling: Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules, ensuring all project milestones and deliverables are on track.
- Cost Control & Budget Planning: Assist in preparing and managing project budgets, tracking expenditures, and implementing cost control measures to keep projects within budget. Asist with supplier and vendor invoicing and payments.
- Project Management: Assist the Project Manager to oversee project timelines, resources, and scope to ensure successful delivery of projects. Work closely with stakeholders to define project objectives and ensure that timelines and requirements are met, including scheduling, resource allocation, budgeting, and client communications. Ensure timely delivery of results while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
- Supply Chain & Logistics: Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that materials and resources are available as needed for project execution.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks to project schedules and budgets and develop mitigation strategies. Support and assist with company HSE policies.
- Reporting: Provide regular updates on project progress, including status reports on schedule, budget, and resource utilization as requested by the Project Manager.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including engineers, scientists, field teams, and clients, to ensure alignment around project goals and timelines.
- Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure projects comply with industry standards, safety regulations, Company HSE policy, and client specifications.
- Documentation: Assist in maintaining comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and schedule updates.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Project Management or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with a focus on scheduling and cost control.
- Proficiency in project management software, MS business suite and experience with project management tools.
- Experience in cost control, project budget planning, and tracking expenditures.
- Familiarity with project logistics, supply chain management, and procurement processes.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
