The Restaurant Server is responsible for providing the highest quality of service to guests in an efficient and courteous manner. The Restaurant Server will take food and beverage orders, retrieve and serve alcoholic, non-alcoholic beverages and food orders to guest tables courteously and efficiently. They will collect payments and assist in keeping the area and equipment clean.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Approach all encounters with guests and employees with a smile.
- Have a thorough knowledge of menus and specials in restaurant.
- Check guests for proper identification and serve alcoholic beverages to guests in accordance with federal, state, local and company laws and regulations.
- Monitor cleanliness and proper sanitation of service bar, bar tables, stations and service areas.
- Quickly and accurately take guest orders.
- Accommodate any special requests made by a guest or offer appropriate alternatives.
- Ensure guests are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems.
- Accurately prepare meal checks and collect payments from guests to include, but not limited to, using the point-of-sale system, handling money, processing credit and debit cards, making change and processing gift, cards room credits and vouchers.
- Clear clean and reset tables as needed.
- Perform opening and closing procedures.
- Perform any other duties as requested by management.
