What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Assurance Manager position at Bentley Pontoons?
The position of the Quality Supervisor is to oversee all quality aspects of boat manufacturing including but not limited to incoming materials, assembly departments, finished product and record keeping.
Responsibilities
· Manage manpower to support production initiatives. To include QC supervisor, group lead and quality technicians.
· Terminate non-performing employees and interview new replacements.
· Spend adequate time on the floor ensuring the product is being built to proper quality standards set forth by the management team.
· Evaluate plant layout & product flow in relation to quality objectives.
· Work with upper management to identify continuous improvement objectives and set quality benchmarks.
· Develop Metrics to track Quality KPI’s and work on continuous improvement.
· Manage record keeping of quality reports, and relevant documents.
· Continually develop the quality process and documentation for continuous improvement
· Work with engineering to establish the best methods for building quality into the product as well as establishing quality requirements for purchased product.
· Work with purchasing to manage scrap & DMR’s (Damaged Material) and work on initiatives to improve.
· Work Closely with Warranty to identify recurring warranty issues & work on methods to correct.
· Work with Customers to address & correct quality concerns.
Qualifications
· Prior experience in a quality role in a manufacturing environment
· Proficient in computer applications (Microsoft excel, powerpoint, etc)
· Strong leadership and management skills
· Familiar with boating manufacturing, regulations, and safety
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Strong public speaking skills
Additional Information:
· Report to the Plant Manager
· Current Production Hours are Monday- Friday, 7:00- 3:30
· Overtime is required & often worked based on needs & Plant Supervision is needed when plant is working.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
