Truck Refrigeration Technician – Job Summary
Primary focus will be to perform maintenance and repairs on Thermo King and Carrier truck refrigeration units.
Truck Refrigeration Technician – Primary Responsibilities
- Repairs and maintenance on refrigeration units on trucks per Thermo King / Carrier specifications.
- Ability to understand schematics associated with air conditioning equipment.
- Diagnoses trouble codes, repair starting, charging, and electrical systems.
- Record parts used in maintenance and repairs and any steps performed to make repairs.
- Ability to recognize Warranty items and help management process claims.
- Perform other mechanical / electrical repairs when reefer unit repairs are not available.
Requirements
Truck Refrigeration Technician – Position Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of hands-on Thermo King or Carrier truck refrigeration units.
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
- Working knowledge of electrical troubleshooting.
- Accurately document work performed on repair orders.
- 608 or 609 certification a plus.
- High school diploma ; Tech School a plus.
- Must have a valid driver’s license: CDL Preferred
- Must be able to lift 50lbs/push-pull 75lbs
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment and random drug screening required by DOT.
- Strong ability to work scheduled hours consistently.
