TITLE: Information Systems Analyst II
DEPARTMENT: Information Technology
REPORTS TO: Information Technology Supervisor
FLSA: Non-Exempt
SUMMARY:
Independently performs assigned tasks with moderate supervision.
DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS:
Positions in this classification are distinguished by an effective working knowledge of information technology. Primary efforts are in maintaining existing systems.
EXAMPLES OF JOB DUTIES:

Installs, configures, and provides support for standard desktop applications.
Maintains inventory of computers, peripheral devices, software, and computer supplies.
Compiles and maintains program and system documentation.
Develops applications according to prepared specifications.
Performs routine network administration and computer operations tasks.
Modifies existing programs and procedures.
Installs and maintains computers, peripherals devices, and networks.
Works with departments to identify beneficial uses of existing information technology.
Develops and maintains documentation for users of information systems.
Works with departments to explore potential uses of new information technology.
Coordinates information technology training programs.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is performed in an office environment at multiple sites. Some eye strain may occur from viewing a computer monitor. Occasional physical effort may be required to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of the principles and procedures of system analysis and design.
Knowledge of and skill in computer programming language applicable to area of assignment.
Knowledge of personal computer software installation and configuration.
Knowledge of computer hardware installation and maintenance.
Knowledge of computer network administration and maintenance.
Ability to effectively communicate technical and non-technical information to other employees, both orally and in writing.
Ability to translate user specifications into automated procedures and system modifications.
Ability to develop flow charts, procedures and instructions in clear, logical sequence.
Ability to work independently and prioritize several on-going assignments
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
Associate's degree in Computer Science, and two years of information technology experience in programming, computer maintenance, network administration, or computers operations; or any combination of education and experience which would provide the applicant with the desired skills, knowledge, and ability required to perform the job.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATES & OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Valid Washington State Driver’s License

Pay: $71,040.00 - $92,172.00 per month
