What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Manager position at Benton Foundry?
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Manager to join our Quality Department. Currently, Benton Foundry employs three Quality Managers to service our 250 customer base. One of the Managers is approaching retirement.
Responsibilities
- Complete an in-depth foundry rotation to learn production methods and processes
- Train in all aspects of our metallurgical lab
- Sample new jobs, develop corrective and preventative action
- Part-specific troubleshooting and improvement
- Auditing
- Enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the quality systems
- Problem-solving using Fishbone, 8D, and 5 Why.
Requirements
- A strong mechanical aptitude
- Curious and probing nature
- 5 experience preferred
- Experience making complex cored work is a plus
- Machining experience is helpful
- Fishbone, 8D, 5 Why, ISO9000, and Pareto Analysis experience is preferred.
This position does not have any direct reports.
