Behavior Technician
Job Description
Assist in delivering behavior-analytic services and practice under the direction and close supervision of the district’s Behavior Analyst.
- Implement various data collection procedures (continuous/discontinuous/permanent product measurement procedures), enter data, and update graphs.
- Generate objective session notes by describing what occurred during the sessions, in accordance with applicable legal, regulatory, and workplace requirements.
- Assist with individualized and functional assessment procedures.
- Assist with implementation of interventions developed by Behavior Analyst.
- Implement crisis/emergency procedures according to protocol.
- Effectively communicate with a supervisor in an ongoing manner. Actively seek direction from the supervisor in a timely manner.
- Communicate with the team (e.g., teachers, administrators, family) as authorized.
- Maintain professional boundaries (e.g., avoid dual relationships, conflicts of interest, social media contacts).
QUALIFICATIONS
Must have a high school diploma
Must complete 40-hour behavior training
Must complete districts crisis management certification
If an applicant has RBT credentials, Behavior Analyst will provide supervision and documentation to maintain national certification of the RBT.
