Position Overview:
The Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction is responsible for overseeing the district’s instructional programs, professional development initiatives, and student support services. This role requires strategic leadership to enhance teaching and learning across all grade levels.
Primary Responsibilities:
Supervise professional development programs to enhance teacher effectiveness.
Supervise assessment programs to monitor and improve student learning outcomes.
Supervise special education services to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
Supervise Gifted and Talented (GT), Advanced Placement (AP), and English Learner (EL) programs.
Supervise the supervision and placement of instructional facilitators and support personnel.
Supervise the development of high-quality instructional materials aligned with district goals.
Supervise critical concerns related to students in grades K–4, ensuring equitable and responsive instruction.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree or higher in educational leadership, curriculum and instruction, or a related field.
Demonstrated experience in instructional leadership at the school or district level.
Deep knowledge of curriculum design, assessment, and educator professional development.
Strong leadership, collaboration, positive outlook, and data-driven decision-making skills.
