In support of the Mainline Billing Manager, a successful Billing Specialist shall provide administrative support by performing general billing duties, such as converting information and data from contractors and in-house employees about their production work for the week into billable maps and invoices to be submitted for payment. The Billing Specialist will work remotely with our Billing Manager, Redline Manager and team, Finance Department, Project Managers and Senior Management to audit ensure all invoices are prepared to be submitted for payment in a timely and efficient manner to meet all deadlines set forth by Senior Management, along with correcting any invoice issues with previously submitted invoices promptly.
To succeed in this role, you should be an intuitive self-starter who excels at problem solving, have excellent time management and communication skills, as you’ll collaborate with clients and internal teams to deliver results on deadlines. At a minimum, the position requires a good working knowledge of general office functions; proficient in the use of pdf editor and spreadsheet software with emphasis on Microsoft Office; ability to use a computer and other office related equipment; ability to read, understand, interpret, input, and analyze data.
Responsibilities:
- Review submitted production information to create a billable invoice
- Maintaining organized financial records to aid reporting
- Ensure proper procedures, activities, documentation and policies are followed
- Use a checklist (or any tool) to confirm all items are accounted for with billing each week and ensure invoices are complete and readable for the Billing Manager to distribute to the client.
- Complete as well as ensure completion of tasks for assigned department/project
- Communicate with employees, contractors, vendors, and/or customers to assist assigned department/project with their billing submissions.
- Read, interpret, and input data in support of an assigned department/project to the billing system.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of related work experience
- Solid organizational skills, including attention to detail, multitasking and time-management. Ability to organize workload to determine priority of duties
- Demonstrate flexibility in a dynamic workplace
- Proficient Working knowledge of MS Office, MS Excel, various MS applications, Adobe Acrobat or Nitro, and Windows operating systems
- Fast learner and adaptable when taking on new tasks and responsibilities.
- Perform duties independently by exercising discretion and sound judgment.
- Ability to read understand, interpret, input, and analyze data with a high degree of accuracy and completeness
- Ability to communicate with Company personnel, customers, and contractors to ensure tasks are completed
- Excellent Customer Service skills and strong English language skills both oral and written
- History of working within cable or telecommunications industry a plus
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen, and background check
