Job Title: Pool Manager

Location: Bentwinds Country Club, 6544 Dornoch Place, Fuquay Varina, NC 27526

Seasonal Position: Early-May through Early October

Full-Time Hours: Mid-May through Labor Day, Limited Hours Thereafter

Job Summary:

Bentwinds Country Club is seeking a responsible and experienced Pool Manager to oversee the daily operations of our club's swimming facility. The Pool Manager will ensure a safe, clean, and enjoyable environment for members and guests while managing staff, enforcing pool policies, and maintaining high service standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage all pool operations, including staffing, maintenance, and member services.
• Train, schedule, and oversee lifeguards and other pool staff to ensure efficient operations.
• Approve biweekly timecards.
• Work in conjunction with the Swim Team Coaches and Committee for swim team season and meets.
• Ensure the safety of all pool patrons by enforcing club policies and lifeguard responsibilities.
• Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of the pool area, including water quality testing and compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Monitor and manage pool supplies, including chemicals, equipment, and safety gear.
• Develop and implement swim programs, lessons, and special pool events.
• Handle member inquiries, concerns, and incidents in a professional and timely manner.
• Coordinate with club General Manager and other departments to ensure seamless operations.
• Prepare and maintain records related to attendance, incidents, maintenance, and staff performance.
• Assist in opening the pool facility and staff onboarding at the beginning of the season.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in pool management, lifeguarding, or aquatics supervision required.
• Lifeguard, CPR, and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start date).
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of pool maintenance and water safety regulations.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Customer service-oriented with the ability to handle member concerns professionally.
• CPO certification preferred by not required.

Compensation:

Competitive hourly rate between $17-21 based on experience, daily staff meal, golf privileges. Additional perks may include end of season bonus.
