JOB PURPOSE STATEMENT
In this role the individual is responsible for supporting Client s Technology and Innovation hardware test projects for all tribes. The individual will perform all tests and provide feedback that can help improve the design, if necessary. The individual is also responsible for maintaining the test tower (facility) and test elevators and enforcing safety and 5S. The employee must have an innovation and continuous improvement mindset and have electrical troubleshooting experience as well as skill using mechanical tools.
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
Entry Level Requirements (Education)
A BSEE degree or a BSEET degree with mechanical work experience.
At least 3 years of hands-on experience with electrical troubleshooting, testing, and mechanical assembly.
Professional Requirements (Experience)
Electrical testing skills and knowledge are required.
Ability to communicate well (verbal and written) in English
Experience with hardware testing, troubleshooting, and performing failure analysis.
Experience with mechanical hand tools and a variety of test instruments (multimeter, oscilloscope, data acquisition, current clamps, HiPot tester, etc.)
Experience reading and understanding wiring diagrams, schematics, and mechanical drawings.
Ability to learn and use digital equipment and applications.
Programming knowledge is preferred (Python, Visual Basic, PLCs).
Elevator knowledge is an added advantage.
Experience working with high voltages, motors, and drives is an added advantage.
Able to work in a dynamic work environment where safe work practices are priority.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES
Test Support ( 50% of Time) - Support engineering project test needs. This includes both mechanical and electrical component installation and testing using test instruments and software applications. Get involved in initial planning, execution of testing, and creation of lab report. Collaborate with the project managers and engineers to provide valuable feedback related to findings and recommendations for improvement. Use engineering principles for analysis and improvements. Since we support multiple teams, it is important to be present in the tower during working hours.
Elevator Maintenance ( 20% of Time) - Maintain test tower facility and test elevators. Perform elevator upgrades and modifications as needed to keep elevators running and available for project testing. Perform failure analysis when elevators stop working and employ sound workmanship practices to ensure elevator wiring and components are mounted and dressed correctly to keep equipment clean, manageable, and reliable.
Innovation ( 10% of Time) Provide new ideas and better ways of working related to tower activities and our test processes. Learn and implement new tools and employ test automation where possible to help make test processes more accurate and efficient. Design and implement these devices, tools, and programs, as required.
Safety and 5S ( 10% of Time) Maintain safety and 5S with respect to the facility and the test elevators. Enforce safety on all people entering and working in the test tower. Keep test tower areas clean and organized, including tools and equipment. Ensure that PPE is always available and in good working condition. Maintain personnel safety records. Learn the safety rules and comply with all rules. Help implement a continuous improvement program so that safety is always maintained. Help keep each other safe by looking after each other and employing stop work authority.
Other ( 10% of Time) Other tasks related to key responsibilities will include attending, scheduling and planning meetings, taking general training including safety training, learning new applications and instruments as required, attending workshops, preparing documents and presentations, as well as presenting new ideas and projects as required, performing regular tower general cleaning and organizing, attend team building events. Perform other miscellaneous tasks related to key responsibilities.
