Overview
The RFID Lab Specialist supports and assists with Product Development functions related to RFID and Production systems. Ensuring that incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products meet all established quality standards. You will play a key role in identifying defects or deviations from specifications and helping maintain product excellence across the production process.

The RFID Lab Specialist supports and assists with Product Development functions related to RFID and Production systems. Ensuring that incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products meet all established quality standards. You will play a key role in identifying defects or deviations from specifications and helping maintain product excellence across the production process.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Conduct varying performance tests on materials for the purpose of optimum material selection, incoming material quality, in-process testing and material failure analysis.
- Create consistent samples/specimens in preparation for testing.
- Follow industry standard methodologies as well as in-house created procedures for product performance testing.
- Document all lab activities, record and analyze test data and share test findings in a clear and concise manner that can be easily retrieved for future need.
- Maintain work area and lab testing equipment.
- Engage in regular communication with material suppliers related to product selection, material issues, etc.
- Assist Product Development with material selection related to new products and any application specific requirements.
- Assist our Quality Department with Root cause Analysis and preparation for ISO and customer audits.
- Stay abreast of all industry developments and best practices.
Skills:
- Working knowledge of data collection, data analysis, evaluation, and scientific methods.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing tools
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments
- Working in a Clean Room environment
- Familiarity with lab software and measurement tools.
- Knowledge of quality standards and compliance requirements.
- Experience in implementing and/or supporting supply chain execution systems
- Proven facilitation and presentation skills
- Exceptional organizational, time management, trouble shooting and multi-tasking skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally with people of all levels and departments to garner resources and knowledge needed to accomplish goals
- Ability to identify areas for improvement and take timely action
- Strong collaborator and ability to develop partnerships across businesses internally and externally
- Experience developing long-term strategies and executable plans to support an organization’s direction

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Associates degree, two-year college, technical school, or equivalent work experience
- Two (2) plus years of experience in operations support
- Experience executing operational improvement projects
- Computer Skills: MS Office, Word, Excel, ability to learn software tools
