Job Description
BEPC seeks a QA Engineer Automated 3 to support automated testing for the Childcare Licensing Automation Support System (CLASS), Public Provider Portal, and Classmate. The role involves designing and developing automated test scripts, executing test cases, and ensuring high-quality testing for system enhancements.
Responsibilities include:
- Designing automated test scripts for functional and non-functional requirements.
- Developing test execution plans and determining priorities for test scenarios.
- Preparing test data, executing test scripts, and analyzing results.
- Supporting user acceptance testing and providing defect triaging.
- Documenting automated test processes and results.
- Working in an Agile SDLC environment, collaborating with developers and stakeholders.
This role requires 20% on-site work at the Austin office.
Required Skills and Experience
- 8 years: Strong verbal and written communication skills for interaction with peers and users.
- 8 years: Experience developing test suites using UFT or similar tools.
- 8 years: Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL for database testing.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- 6 years: Experience developing Requirements Traceability Matrices.
- 6 years: Skilled in test script development and execution.
- 6 years: Proficiency in test planning and coordinating user acceptance testing.
- 6 years: Understanding of general IT Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes.
- 4 years: Experience using JIRA for project/sprint task management.
- 4 years: Working experience in an Agile SDLC environment.
- 1 year: Familiarity with agile project management methodologies.
Work Hours and Terms
- Start Date: March 17, 2025
- End Date: August 31, 2025 (with possible extensions).
- Total Hours: Up to 1,024 hours.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM CST.
Work Location:
- Hybrid position with one on-site day per week (20% travel required) at the Austin location.
- Local candidates only; no relocation assistance provided.
- Travel expenses are not reimbursed.
