Senior Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

Bepc, Inc has an open position for a Senior QA Automation Engineer in Texas!

W2 Contract 5 months with the possibility of extensions

Location : Remote within Texas (Austin TX, Zip code 78751 for on-site visits)

Hourly Rate : Up to $56 / hr

  • Develop and execute automated test scripts for application workflows.
  • Maintain and update Unified Functional Testing (UFT) test suites for regression testing.
  • Prepare and load test data into databases.
  • Execute test scripts, log results, and document defects with detailed reproduction steps.
  • Utilize analysis and diagramming tools to represent business processes.
  • Ensure testing aligns with best practices and agency standards.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Proficiency in database query languages such as SQL and PL / SQL.
  • Strong experience in developing test suites using UFT or similar automation tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with peers and stakeholders.

    • Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience in developing Requirements Traceability Matrices.
  • Proficiency in writing and executing test scripts and test plans.
  • Familiarity with coordinating User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Knowledge of general IT SDLC processes.
  • Experience using JIRA for task management in Agile environments.
  • Hands-on experience working on Agile project management methodologies.

    • Work Hours and Terms

  • Start Date : March 1, 2025
  • End Date : August 31, 2025 (with potential extensions).
  • Total Hours : Up to 1,120 hours.
  • Schedule : Monday to Friday, 8 : 00 AM - 5 : 00 PM CST.

    • Work Location :

  • Remote within Texas; candidates must already reside within the state.
  • No travel reimbursement : all travel-related costs are the candidate's responsibility.

    • Additional Terms and Conditions

  • Candidates must be available for occasional on-site visits at the Austin office.
  • A criminal background check is required before issuing a purchase order.
  • Compliance with HHSC's cybersecurity and acceptable use policies is mandatory.
