BE Peterson, Inc., an established custom-designed metal fabrication company, is looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer II to join our team. Responsibilities : Provide Quality Engineering support to the metal fabrication and welding processes Lead data collection and SPC Implementation across different product lines Lead problem solving initiatives incorporating the use of data analysis, Quality tools, Root cause and Corrective action methods Create and validate all First Article characteristics from detail part and or drawings including flow down requirements from specification Develop customer data documentation packages Lead activities around continuous improvement projects Conduct visual & dimensional inspections Generate Nonconformance and Corrective Action reports Conduct inspection of parts in process and final inspection. Maintain Quality records quality records Participates and supports maintaining our ISO Quality System and ASME code certification Collaborates with other functions to establish and improve design, manufacturing, and quality control methods Perform internal audits to determine company's compliance to 3 rd party organizations, ASME and ISO. Requirements : B.S. in Engineering or Science 3-7 Years' experience working in Quality Assurance related field Experience in metal fabrication, including welding and examination Must have strong written and verbal communication skills Demonstrated ability to work one on one and in a team environment Demonstrated problem solving skills Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint Working knowledge of Six Sigma / Lean Manufacturing Understanding of ISO 9001 QMS system and ensure product and processes are compliant to internal, industry and customer quality standards. Must have good project management skills Self-starter with a high level of attention to detail and highly motivated team player Experience with statistical software (Minitab) and ERP (Epicor) system.
