Job Purpose

As a DevOps Manager, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of our CI/CD Technology stack to build, deploy, and automate all maintenance and infrastructure tasks. You will work closely with our Software Engineers, Architects and Operations teams to ensure high availability and deliver high-quality services to external and internal customers in a secure way. You will drive innovation by bringing new ideas and technologies to the forefront and taking complete ownership of the projects you manage. Your leadership will be vital in fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within the team. In addition, you will act as a mentor and support to your team members, helping them to grow and develop in their roles.


Duties and responsibilities

  • Define and implement the DevOps strategy, focusing on automation, continuous integration, and continuous delivery (CI/CD).
  • Lead and manage a team of DevOps engineers, providing mentorship and fostering career growth.
  • Collaborate with development, QA, and Operations teams to improve deployment processes and infrastructure reliability.
  • Oversee the design and management of cloud infrastructure, ensuring best practices for security, performance, and scalability.
  • Drive the evaluation and integration of new tools, technologies, and processes to improve DevOps practices.
  • Establish and enforce best practices for deployment processes and documentation. 
  • Participate in handling incident management and ensure proper post-mortem analysis and feedback are taken into account to prevent future occurrences.
  • Ensure high standards of security, availability, scalability, and performance for all systems.
  • Owning Infrastructure based on Azure, working closely with Microsoft to build state of the art Infrastructure.

 

Profile we´re looking for!

Must have

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering or science discipline or a university degree is preferable.
  • Strong Windows & Linux Operating System and TCP/IP Networking fundamentals.
  • Excellent Azure stack Knowledge.
  • Experience with MongoDB and PostgreSQL Database.
  • Strong Experience in the IaaS, PaaS (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Packer,  …) as well as in the CI/CD stack (e.g., Azure DevOps …) and especially on the Azure stack.
  • Excellent knowledge of Python and/or PowerShell/Bash for everything that is related to scripting automation.
  • Strong experience in supporting microservices architecture, management and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, …).
  • Excellent knowledge of the GitOps and SecOps paradigms.
  • Excellent knowledge of source control, namely git and TFVC.
  • Fluent in English.
  • All other languages are a plus.
  • Strong team player mindset as well as excellent communication skills.
  • Open-minded, proactive and not afraid to pick up challenges.
  • Ready to bring new ideas and technologies with a great sense of ownership of the projects you follow.

 

Nice to have

  • Knowledge in building and packaging .NET Core applications.
  • Knowledge in monitoring systems (e.g. DataDog, ELK, Prometheus, Graphana).
  • Knowledge of SQL query language (and Transact-SQL).
