Immigration Paralegal – Bercovitch Law Offices (Philadelphia, PA)

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented, proactive Immigration Paralegal to join our team. The ideal candidate is highly organized, able to work independently, and eager to support clients through various immigration processes.

Key Responsibilities :

Assist attorneys in preparing and filing immigration applications, petitions, and supporting documents, including but not limited to asylum claims, family-based petitions, employment authorizations, and adjustment of status applications.
Draft and review affidavits, legal correspondence, and client declarations.
Maintain and organize case files, ensuring timely follow-up and compliance with deadlines.
Communicate with clients to gather necessary information, provide case updates, and explain immigration processes.
Conduct legal research on immigration regulations, procedures, and case law as needed.
Coordinate with government agencies such as USCIS, ICE, EOIR, and NVC regarding case statuses and filings.
Support attorneys with court filings, motions, and preparation for immigration hearings.
Monitor deadlines and manage case calendars to ensure timely filings and responses.

Qualifications & Skills :

Required : At least 1-2 years of experience as an immigration paralegal in a law firm or similar setting.

Preferred : Experience in asylum and removal defense cases.

Strong knowledge of immigration forms (I-485, I-130, I-589, I-765, etc.) and procedures.

Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, case management software, and legal research tools.

Fluency in Spanish, French, or another second language is a plus but not required.
