What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cashier position at Berea Ace Hardware?
Cashiers exemplify the foundation of our service to each customer as they enter and leave the store.
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Customer service is priority one at all times
- Welcome each customer that comes into the store (when possible)
- Give 100% of your attention to the customer you are serving
- Always ask customers if they have their Ace Rewards Card, if not would they like to join
- Count the cash back from each transaction
- Provide the customer with an appropriate receipt for each transaction
- Thank each customer for their purchase, use their name when possible
- Operate cash register with accuracy and efficiency
- Keep check out area neat, clean, and free of obstacles
- Handle merchandise returns and exchanges quickly and efficiency
- Answer incoming phone calls after the 4th ring
- Demonstrate dependability and reliability by being punctual, working assigned shifts, and completing assigned job duties
