Description
This is a temporary position beginning in May 2025 and ending in August 2025 that is being hired to produce a short documentary film for the Entrepreneurship for the Public Good (EPG) program. The employee will travel throughout Eastern Kentucky, Tennessee, and Virginia with the EPG students and staff as they tour facilities, meet with leaders and entrepreneurs, and experience what the region has to offer. The film crew will shoot footage for the film as well as assemble a mass library of photographic images that can be used for marketing purposes. On return from the program, the remainder of the work will consist of editing the footage into a short feature film project.

Your Key Responsibilities
- Utilize specialized film and photography equipment
- Capture high-quality video and photographic images
- Make critical decisions regarding location, viewing angles, and image capture
- Use specialized software to edit multimedia film and images
- Edit video footage into a coherent film that tells a story
- Coordinate with EPG Director and other team members on the project
- Produce high quality documentary film
Education required to ensure success in this position:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 1-3 years of experience
- Knowledge of proper use regarding specialized multimedia equipment (film cameras, digital photography, etc)
- Knowledge of specific software programs for multimedia editing
- Skill with utilizing multimedia film and photography equipment for capturing a variety of footage
- Skill with utilizing specific software for multimedia editing and filmmaking
- Ability to choose shooting locations, angles of view, and frame film subjects
- Ability to operate highly specialized equipment in a safe and productive manner
- Ability to edit film footage into short feature and briefer cuts for marketing and promotional purposes
- Ability to work with producer, executive producer, and other team members to successfully execute documentary film project

- Ability to travel extensively throughout the region
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle
- Includes frequent travel requirements for on-site and location-based shooting
- Operate College vehicles for travel purposes
