Are you a seasoned Maintenance professional ready for a new challenge? Berea College is looking for a Maintenance Manager that oversees the College's maintenance team, including plumbing, carpentry, and preventive maintenance. Responsibilities include supervising daily operations, prioritizing and scheduling work orders, managing personnel, and ensuring productivity. The role involves analyzing CMMS data to improve safety, reliability, and service. It also requires setting an example for safe work practices. Regular hours are Monday-Friday, 7 : 30 AM - 4 : 30 PM, with occasional overtime and call-back duties.
Your Key Responsibilities :
- Perform root cause and investigate analysis of plumbing and carpentry trade problems and prepare and execute remediation plan.
- Acquire materials and tools needed to execute work orders.
- Coordinate planned and reactive work of the Maintenance team to assure safety and customer service goals and expectations are met.
- Assess workload and prioritize tasks, assign technicians daily, weekly, and monthly.
- Utilize and analyze data to track metrics and drive improvements to equipment and infrastructure maintenance reliability, safety, productivity and customer service.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to lead a diverse and fast paced maintenance team.
- Proactive leadership in regard to safety.
- Collaborative communication style to assure high levels of service and satisfaction from a large body of internal customers.
- Assure full utilization of CMMS to maintain accurate records of work performed by the team.
- Works with Administrative leadership to develop and meet budget.
What You'll Bring :
Strong organizational and people management skills required, as well as good interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization. A very strong focus on customer service and satisfaction is a must. A live by example, safety-first leadership approach is also a must. Flexibility and maturity to manage unexpected disruptions with a sense of calm urgency required. Understanding of preventive and predictive maintenance systems and best practices in maintenance and reliability excellence are desired. Must have the ability to prioritize work and develop schedules to ensure efficient utilization of college personnel and resources. Provide follow up inspections to ensure quality control remains at the highest level. Strong computer skills are a plus. Interaction with GIS system a plus.
