Berg Construction is a locally owned and operated excavation company. We are currently growing and are looking to hire a Mechanic / Service Technician to join our Team. The Mechanic will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing issues on automotive, heavy trucks and a variety of construction equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems of heavy duty trucks, vehicles, and other construction equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks such as, oil changes, tune ups etc.
- Diagnose, repair, adjust, and modify components as needed
- Positive interface with service department, supervisors, and clients
- Maintain functional condition by listening to operator complaints, repairing mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions
- At times provide off-site repair assistance with our Road Mechanic
- Prepare proper documentation of actions taken
- Maintain conformity to safety requirements and other regulations
- Positive interface with service, department, peers and clients
- Other duties, as assigned
