The Yard Worker will be responsible for various tasks that contribute to the overall efficiency of our operations.
Duties
- Perform heavy lifting and moving of materials and equipment within the yard.
- Operate box trucks and vans for local deliveries as needed.
- Assist with route driving and courier services to ensure timely deliveries.
- Utilize forklifts for loading and unloading materials safely.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the yard area.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to safety protocols.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and report any maintenance needs.
Experience
- Previous experience in a warehouse or yard setting is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with delivery driving, including route planning and navigation skills.
- Experience operating forklifts or similar equipment is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) consistently throughout the day.
- Strong teamwork skills with a focus on safety and efficiency in all tasks.
