Bergen Community College is accepting applications for adjunct faculty positions in the Department of Biology and Horticulture.
Biology:
The mission of the department is to establish a high-quality biological science education for all our students. The mission includes a commitment to excellence in teaching so that our students:
- Acquire fundamental biological knowledge for the purpose of transferring to a four-year college or university or for pursuing a career in the biological sciences or in the allied health field.
- Acquire essential biological knowledge that will allow them to understand biological concepts in contemporary society.
- Develop the ability to critically analyze biological data, evidence, and general biological information using scientific thought and reasoning.
- Develop effective scientific communication skills.
Courses and Requirements:
Required: A Master’s Degree in Biology or related field and at least one year of college level teaching experience. The experience requirement may be met by two years of high school teaching in biology or three years of professional, industrial, or military experience in a related biological field.
