Qualifications
- Extensive knowledge of the vocational and educational needs of learners at various life stages.
- Work experience with programs and assessment systems, which focus upon educational development.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as the ability to organize and work with educational and social institutions and agencies.
- Teaching experience highly preferred.
- Computer skills.
- Such alternatives to the above as the Board deems appropriate and acceptable under state law.
- New Jersey residency required within one (1) year of date of hire.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and curriculum for manufacturing courses
- Conduct classroom and laboratory instruction on various manufacturing processes and techniques
- Provide hands-on training and demonstrations using modern manufacturing equipment and tools
- Assess and evaluate student performance through tests, projects, and practical assessments
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in manufacturing technology and incorporate relevant updates into the curriculum
- Collaborate with other faculty members and industry professionals to enhance the learning experience
- Mentor and advise students on academic and career paths in the manufacturing field
- Ensure a safe and effective learning environment by maintaining equipment and enforcing safety protocols
- Participate in professional development opportunities to continuously improve teaching skills and knowledge
- Organize and supervise student field trips, internships, and other experiential learning opportunities
