Apartment Maintenance Specialist - Berger Communities

Job Summary

Berger Communities is hiring a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. This is a full-time position offering excellent benefits and a competitive salary.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general building maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance repair, carpentry, and construction. They will be working on a wide range of tasks, from routine maintenance and repairs to emergency situations.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair service issues in apartment homes and buildings
• Prepare vacant apartment homes for leasing and new move-ins
• Assist in maintaining grounds, common areas, and amenities to highest curb appeal standards
• Complete preventative maintenance tasks and inspections as directed
• Participate in snow removal efforts and share in emergency call rotation

Requirements

• Two years experience as a maintenance technician and/or training
• High School or GED required; Trade School or Industry Training is a plus
• A valid state-issued driver's license with safe driving record and a reliable form of transportation
