Berger Engineering Company located in Carrollton, Texas is a leader in the commercial, institutional and industrial mechanical contracting field. We are in search for Pipefitters who has experience in working in a commercial HVAC environment. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lay out, assemble, install and maintain pipe systems, pipe supports, and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment for steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, sprinkling, and industrial production and processing systems.
- Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
- Cut, thread pipe to specifications
- Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings, and related equipment according to specifications
- Attach pipes to walls, structures, and fixtures
- Inspect, examine, and test installed systems and pipe lines
- Measure and mark pipes for cutting and threading
- Lay out full scale drawings of pipe systems, supports, and related equipment following blueprints
- Plan pipe system layout, installation, or repair according to specifications
- Select pipe sizes and types according to specifications
- Cut and bore holes in structures prior to pipe installation
- Follow company safety policies
- Demonstrate proper use of Personal Protective Equipment.
- Piping knowledge of VAV’s and Air Handling units.
- Sweat and Solder Copper.
- Be willing to learn and take direction.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Possess general knowledge of hand tools and their use.
- Mechanical ability.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints.
- Be able to identify material for piping copper.
- Commercial HVAC experience is a plus.
REQUIREMENTS:

- Minimum 2 years of commercial HVAC copper pipe filling experience
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
- Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly
- Must be able to drive in hazardous weather conditions
- Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions
