As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and ensuring customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers warmly, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Operate the Aloha POS system efficiently for processing transactions and managing cash register duties.
- Maintain food safety standards by adhering to proper food handling and sanitation practices.
- Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours while maintaining quality standards.
- Assist with food preparation as needed, ensuring all items are fresh and presented attractively.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies throughout the shift.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment and enhance overall customer experience.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in the food service or coffee industry is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
- Familiarity with Aloha POS or similar cash register systems is a plus.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures is essential.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy setting.
- A passion for coffee and willingness to learn about different brewing techniques and beverage preparation methods.
