SUMMARY
The Electrical Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine inspections, basic maintenance, and repairs on electrical systems related to production and facility equipment, including troubleshooting minor electrical issues, replacing components, and ensuring compliance with electrical codes
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Confers with various manufacturing department establishing an effective working relationship, thus eliminating potential problems through lack of communication
- Function as a team member by assisting fellow workers in completing job assignments
- Perform reactive, preventative, and predictive maintenance on production equipment and facility equipment
- Diagnose and fix minor electrical issues such as faulty switches, outlets, circuit breakers, and lighting malfunctions
- Replace worn-out electrical components like fuses, bulbs, ballasts, and small appliance parts
- Perform minor repairs on production equipment
- Calibration of production tools
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs performed and any identified issues
- Oversee grounds related projects including lighting, pond, lawn and snow removal
- Operates all power equipment and hand tools
- Recommends and performs preventative maintenance on equipment
- Function as a team member by assisting fellow workers in completing job assignments.
- Actively solves problems
- Procure purchase parts when necessary
- Responsible for conforming to environmental management system requirements
OTHER REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Knowledge of safety, quality, and environmental practices in an industrial manufacturing setting.
- Understanding of basic electrical principals, including voltage, current resistance, and circuit analysis
- Ability to apply NEC standards
- Ability to diagnose and resolve electrical problems using test equipment
- Familiarity with a variety of electrical tools like wire strippers, crimpers, voltage testers, and multimeters
- Ability to read electrical blueprint schematics
- Ability and knowledge of working with industrial voltages such as 480V 3 phase
- Awareness of electrical safety procedures and adherence to safety protocols
- Entry level computer skills
- Must have strong mechanical abilities, able to fine best method to use and complete all job assignments.
- Ability to utilize all hand and power tools
- Ability to operate larger equipment, Including lathe, mill, light construction equipment and welding/fabrication.
- Ability to reason, solve practical problems with a variety of variables with limited standardization, and interpret instructions.
- Strong mathematic abilities
- Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions. Write identifying information and request supplies verbally or written.
- Good organizational and documentation abilities
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- High school Diploma or GED; at least 2 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Individuals may need to sit or stand as needed and may require walking primarily on a level surface for a significant amount of the day (>8 hours). This position requires frequent reaching with occasional reaching above shoulder heights. May be required to lift, up to 30 lbs. unassisted throughout the workday. Proper lifting techniques required.
This position may also require excellent eyesight to identify colors, depth, and dimension in the day-to-day work of a Maintenance Technician.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The primary work environment provides for co-worker interactions, ambient room temperature, excellent lighting, and traditional assembly line production equipment as found in a typical manufacturing environment. Certain areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as respirators, gloves, and mandatory hearing protection. Safety glasses and closed toed and closed heel shoes are required in all manufacturing areas.

The budgeted range for this role is $20 USD - $30 USD per hour. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of the desired level of experience for the position.
