SUMMARY Bering Global Services, a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation is currently seeking a qualified Supply Chain Consultant to work on a project in Norfolk, VA. The ideal candidate will be able to oversee and coordinate program activities designed to ensure effective and economical support for production of various goods and services. They will assure materials, goods, labor, equipment, supplies, and other requirements are delivered in good order at an optimum time and cost. QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty. Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications (applies to both this section and KSAO’s) - 8 years’ experience with DoD Procurement and Expediting Parts - 8 years’ experience in managing the repairable asset program through to include verification, documentation and shipment of all equipment. - Extensive experience fulfilling requests for receipt and issuance of equipment. - Recent experience responding to TYCOM level data calls as well as efficiently updating the Inventory Management Database. - Recent experience using Microsoft Office products to include: Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point - Recent experience conducting Warehouse Measure of Performance Audits and Quality Assurance Checks. - Recent experience conducting Wall to Wall Inventories. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics - This position requires an Active SECRET security clearance. Preferred - Recent experience in inventory management procedures, US Navy Supply and warehouse operations. - Recent experience with Navy and Federal Supply Systems, policies, and procedures. NECESSARY PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Essential and marginal functions may require maintaining physical condition necessary for bending, stooping, sitting, walking or standing for prolonged periods of time. DOT COVERED/SAFETY-SENSITIVE ROLE REQUIREMENTS - This position is not subject to federal requirements regarding Department of Transportation “safety-sensitive” functions. WORK ENVIRONMENT Job is performed in a warehouse environment. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES - None. ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results.
