Bering Marine Corporation is hiring Able Bodied Seamen (AB Seaman) for our fleet of tugs, barges, landing crafts, and hovercraft, providing essential services to some of the most remote locations in Alaska. We move building materials, equipment, and gravel to water-locked villages—navigating some of the most extreme conditions Alaska has to offer.

What You’ll Do:

• Perform vessel maintenance—cleaning, painting, and minor repairs.
• Assist with cargo loading, unloading, and securing.
• Handle tow and vessel lines, ensuring safe docking and undocking.
• Help navigate the vessel under the supervision of the Captain and Mate.
• Participate in safety meetings and uphold Bering Marine’s Zero Tolerance policy.
• Work in a tight-knit team environment—teamwork is a MUST!

What You Need to Succeed:

✔ Experience: 2-3 years of marine experience preferred (Alaska experience is a plus!).
✔ Physical Stamina: This is a physically demanding job—must be able to lift 50 lbs, climb, balance, kneel, and work in extreme weather conditions.
✔ Certifications:

• Merchant Mariner Document, Able Bodied Seaman (Preferred)
• STCW Endorsement (Preferred)
• TWIC Card (Required)
• Current CG Physical Card (Required)
• Driver’s License & Passport (Preferred)
• Work Ethic & Attitude: Must be adaptable, dependable, and ready to work long hours in challenging conditions while maintaining a positive team mindset.
