Summary
Bering Global Solutions, LLC, a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation is currently seeking a qualified Physical Therapist for the Fighter Pilot Performance Program at Holloman AFB, New Mexico. This position will support the initial standup of a human performance team in a military setting. This work will take place in a first-of-its-kind human performance (HP) facility that incorporates job-specific conditioning, cutting-edge HP technology, and easy-access to prehab & rehab physical therapy.
At a minimum, the program will address chronic neck and back pain, increased cognitive demands of modern operations, and the need for holistic resiliency.
The Physical Therapist assigned to Holloman AFB, will provide patient care and program development guidance for current and future pilots, who are organized, trained, and equipped to deliver distinctive expertise in combat environments.
Selected applicants are assigned to a team that is responsible for preparing fighter pilots for physical capacity and durability during their 8-month training pipelines and throughout their careers. Physical capacity & durability addresses the physical demands of fighter operations. This holistic approach incorporates prehab, performance training, strength & conditioning, and when necessary, rehab with an aggressive “return-to-fly” mindset. The selected applicant should be prepared to address chronic neck and back pain endemic across the fighter pilot population. Daily activities include assessment of personnel assigned to the unit, developing and instructing corrective exercise plans, patient treatment, assisting the Human Performance Team with planning, scheduling, execution and validations of the HP program efficiency and effectiveness. The selected applicant will have daily contact and interaction with AF trainees and senior leaders, as well as other staff members, contractors and vendors. As such, the selected party must adhere to the highest standards of conduct throughout the course of their daily activities and apply appropriate relationships with trainees, customers, and teammates.

- Assist in the development of the program rehabilitation system in accordance with all local, state, and national laws and regulations, as well as licensing and insurance certification
- Review patient records and provide appropriate assessments to determine physical therapy treatment requirements
- Performs patient tests, measurements and evaluations and record findings in the patient database
- Administers appropriate treatment as indicated
- Appropriately supervises and directs support staff in providing patient care and performance of their job responsibilities
- Records patients' treatment, response, and progress daily
- Updates treatment plan and/ or reevaluates patients as needed to ensure optimal outcome
- Develop relationships with outside support staff to include but not limited to flight medicine, dental, strength coaches, performance psychologists, etc.
- Other tasks as assigned

- Doctor of Physical Therapy
- Board Specialty Certification ATC, CSCS, SCS, and OCS or like certification
- 5 years of experience working as a physical therapist in a tactical, collegiate, or professional sport setting
- Current CPR/First Aid certification
- PT Licensure in state of practice
- Ability to work independently or in a team and meet deadlines
- Study, follow and apply designated AF training and safety directives and guidelines
- Effectively work with frequent changes, interruptions and varying environmental conditions
